Another One Bites The Dust

Photobucket
After four or so accounts made then abandoned, I kissed Blogger goodbye. Have to admit that I was ambitious with this one and had the feeling that this time I can finally maintain and update it compared to my my previous blogs. I won't be deleting this one because in a way it became some sort of a scrapbook which I can always look back on and say "Hey I actually wrote that" or "I remember how wasted we were on those pics". Instead I decided to create a second tumblr account: Basic Space. Compared to my first Tumblr: Feel My Bones, this will be more of a visual diary of some sort and no reblogs this time.

Goodbye Blogger, it was fun while it lasted. I seriously commend bloggers out there who always keep their blogs updated and consistent with their style of blogging. You go Bloggers Coco!

Soon I would have to adjust living in a small bedroom since me and my family will be living in an apartment for a year or so because of the construction going on around our village. This is not my first time when it comes to apartment living because I used to lived in my sister's apartment back in college. Apartment living has its own pros and cons. One of the biggest pros would have to be its accessibility to many places we usually go to like our office is going to be just right across the street and shopping malls are just a couple of blocks away. One of the biggest cons however would definitely have to be space or more like lack of it.

I get to have the smallest bedroom and figuratively saying it really is like a size of a shoebox. But right now I'd take a shoebox bedroom any day than having to wake up every morning to the sounds of the drills and machines as my alarm clock. Biggest concern therefore because of its size is the storage space. My next concern after space is that I have limitations when it comes to decorating it since we are just renting it out. I'm not allowed to mount anything in the wall which could have been a space saver. Right now I'm looking at different designs and ideas over the web in regards to decorating a small bedroom. Here are some pegs that could be helpful for now. Care to give some storage ideas especially when it comes to clothes and shoes?

I like the idea of making use of underneath the bed as added storage. Will take note of that

Completely forgot about this video montage that I made early this year as my little homage to my college years. At first I initially planned it as my little tribute to 2010 which so far is my best year to date however I cheated in this video by inserting some clips from 09. Although this video is supposed to remind me of my eventful college life, I realized that I never took videos of me and my classmates in school. Although somehow I wished I had clips of our last minute group studies for our tests, countless sleepless nights for group work, and of course who could not forget the days, weeks, and months spent for thesis. However watching this video is enough to remind me of the best three-and-a-half years of my life.

Street style during the day: 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, Proenza Schouler, Tommy Hilfiger

Date night-Cocktails-Loungewear for night: Alexander Wang, Doo.Ri, Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, Micheal Kors

My favorite collection from New York Fashion Week. The prints, colors, and that dress just won me over.

Although black and grey are still the dominating color, a lot of designers injected a pop of color may it be in bright red or burnt orange in an outfit or two. Prints were also evident over simple silhouettes as seen in Proenza Schouler's tribal prints and patterns as inspired by their road trip to Santa Fe. What's surprising to see is the open sandals trend as seen in Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler for Fall 2011.

Luckily for me I've been doing a lot of traveling both in and out of the country since graduation. However this has also been the main reason that has been further delaying my job hunting process which I will really get down and serious with after my trip to Singapore next month. I just cannot let the opportunity to travel pass by especially since now according to my relatives is the "ideal time" to be doing all of these trips.

Two weeks ago I went on a five day road trip up north with my Mom and Tito who is currently here on a vacation. The itinerary was basically like this: La Union-Laoag-Vigan-Baguio. The last time that I got to go way up north was around ten years ago when we had a family vacation in Fort Ilocandia during Holy Week and my only memory of that trip was horseback riding with my sister along the shore around five in the afternoon and catching the sunset. That was actually one of my fondest memory as a child and probably the only thing I can remember about Ilocos. Anyway after five days of eating bagnet, experiencing some cool and clean breeze, and being away from the hustle and bustle of the city, here are some pictures from our road trip:

ONE HECK OF A LINEUP THAT WILL SURELY BE WORTH EVERY PENNY

After seeing this poster, for a minute I seriously wished that a) my visa is still alive and kicking, b) instead of October, I should have went to the States this coming April, c) I seriously want to move there asap like in StateOfJoeFashion, and d) that my visa is still alive and kicking. So damn you visa for having to end soon which is one of the main reasons (well money being the other reason) as to why I cannot join my family when they go to the States this April.

I will make Coachella 2012 happen because Coachella, you are so going in to be in my bucket list

I've noticed that ever since I got back, my mom has developed an obsession with buying organization stuff for the house such as baskets, tons of clear plastic boxes for our shoes, racks, and organizers. Every time we go to the mall we always drop by any household stores from True Value down to the aisles in S&R that sells various household furniture. Recently she bought an open closet organizer which she intends to use for hanging and storing our clothes after they are ironed and laundered. The closet organizer she bought popped an idea in my head to have a space in my room be turned into an open closet since I am in dire need of hanging space and my dream of having a walk-in closet specifically Carrie Bradshaw's walk-in closet is far from happening. Unfortunately not a lot of open closet organizers are sold here in the Philippines. The only stores that we saw that carry those are True Value and S&R and they do not come cheap. If only I have the money to burn, I would hire an interior designer and have a custom made closet organizer be built as inspired by the pictures above because I'm really in dire need of hanging space.
