(31)

Yes I am aware that I haven't been updating this blog for almost 3 weeks already. Shame on me but there were a lot of happenings over the past 3 weeks which I will be blogging about soon by making a recap entry. Been quite busy with Thesis since our concert event is set to happen next month and although I do have idle time since I only have 2 classes for this term, I'm mostly spending that time tweeting, sleeping, Philo readings, or talking with Ea, the fresh graduate on the phone til 3 in the morning.

One of the things that happened over the past 3 weeks is that me and my family went on a short vacation to Singapore. It was my second time going there but the last time I was there was already about 6 years ago so in a way it felt like it was my first time again. This time we focused mainly on going around the City area especially with Little India and Chinatown because during our first time we visited all the different parks such as Sentosa down to Jurong Bird Park.

Singapore is indeed a small country and you can have the full tour even with just 3 whole days. You will be doing a lot of walking (which I guess the reason why almost every girl is so skinny!) and has a very fast-paced kind of lifestyle especially when you are in the City. I have to admit that it is an expensive country (our Mcdonalds bills amounted to almost $20 for two burger meals which is equivalent to 600 pesos) but if you do some research then you will find some really cheap thrills like with the Hawker stations selling great tasting and authentic asian cuisines for $5 (150 pesos) and below or the street market like Bugis where I spent most of my time. You should also take advantage to go there when it is sale season since you will find some really great deals like this shop I entered where they were selling various kinds of shoes for $20 and below.

Because of its proximity (just a 3 hours plane ride), Singapore is a great place for a family vacation with their different theme parks however I think it is really more for the young and energetic individuals. Well I guess this would be one of the places that me and my friends will be looking at when already have the money to burn.
